What is the Operations-Driven Turnkey
Implementation Process?
Operations-Driven Thinking begins with the end in mind and targets each
individual end-user and the specific business processes they operate.
The process can be summarized as follows:
-
We provide you with the users profiles for each
application and the specific business processes they operate.
-
We define the layout of the target tables as well as
the skills and resources required to map the interfaces and
conversions.
-
You assign the resources to map the source fields to
the target fields provided by us for each application.
-
You identify the end-users and match them to the user
profiles we provide based on the specific business processes
involved.
-
We define the data and record layout required for the
business processes related to each of these individual end-users.
-
The end-users provide the data in the requested
electronic format.
-
We validate the data and input it onto the new system
to provide a prototype for your review and acceptance.
-
We provide individual desktop training tailored for
each end-user and allow them to practice repeatedly until they
achieve a state of operations excellence.
-
We thoroughly test the online and batch processes and
identify errors for correction until we achieve a state of
zero-defects.
-
We provide a fully tested migration path to move from
a development to production environment and assist you in going
live.
With this turnkey
process, we are accountable for results and you do not pay us until we
deliver the results. As such, there is no risk to you.
How fast can eReviewPanel complete the
implementation and Go-Live?
The Operations-driven turnkey implementation process is committed to
completing all the work necessary to Go-Live within 3 months of
receiving all the data we request.
How fast can eReviewPanel start up the
project?
All we need to start the project is a list of the end-users and the
specific business processes they are responsible for on an ongoing
basis. This really depends on the state of your existing records but we
estimate this can usually be gathered within 2 to 3 weeks by your staff.
When are payments scheduled?
With the Operations-driven turnkey implementation process we get paid
after we have completed a specific deliverable. As such, we carry the
costs of all work-in-progress until such time as we deliver it. These
deliverables are contracted for in advance and we assume the financial
risk until they are delivered.
Does the Turnkey contract include a
penalty for failure to deliver on schedule?
We
can include a penalty for failing to deliver on schedule as long as you
are willing to include an equal incentive for delivering ahead of
schedule. The rationale for this is that if time is of the essence and
any delay will cost you more than correspondingly an early delivery will
save you money as well. As long as it is a two way street we are in
agreement.
Do you work with other implementers
and consultants?
We
work with the vendor and other subject matter experts when we need
specific expertise in order to outsource any onetime activities that
could distract employees from their true objectives. We do not involve
consultants in ongoing operational activities, as these must be
performed and controlled by end-users directly.
We
also do not require consultants to provide methodology and direction to
the implementation. The reason for this is the Primacy Effect. The
Primacy Effect is a psychological principle that says under pressure we
tend to revert to our first-learned behaviors (for better or worse).
Since Operations-driven thinking is not the consultant's first-learned
implementation approach, under pressure they may revert to their own
approach and cause unnecessary confusion on the implementation.
